At 6:30am EDT, our trip commenced from the sunny, warm spring state of Georgia.
Car packed and tunes on the stereo, Mr LaVeaux and I set out on our annual trip to see the LaVeaux family.
We watched the Easter morning sunrise, pictured above. Surprisingly, we had clear, sunny weather the whole drive.
So our day-long journey toward southern Wisconsin lands us in the sleepy outskirts of Danville, Illinois. We have a room at the Holiday Inn, one of a small handful of hotels off of Interstate 74 North.
This is just a place to sleep and rest tonight so that we can hit the road again early tomorrow.
The only restaurant in this area is a Big Boy, complete with a Big Boy out front. I’ve not seen one of these in years.
There is not much to share…nothing exciting, anyway. Getting lost in Indianapolis was the only highlight of our day but it isn’t a bit blog-worthy so I will spare you the details. 🙂
