The Wheel Keeps Turning

It’s been awhile since I have been able to take some time to blog, and I’ve missed sharing thoughts and ideas with you. I hope your year is going great so far. Mine has been flying and it’s been a happy and productive one as well. The wheel of the year keeps turning, and as I grow older it seems that big wheel moves a bit faster with each passing year.

My job has been keeping me very busy, as has my social life…small though it may be. Getting together with old friends and spending quality time catching up has been a gift. I love my dear friends and cherish the time I’m able to spend with them.

With the spring comes much-needed yard work. Mr. LaVeaux and I have been working on getting the house and the yard pulled together for a nice, long summer of outdoor enjoyment. Spending time cleaning and planning brings us closer together. I can’t wait for the long, hot days of summer spent out on the deck, watching the hummingbirds, dragonflies and butterflies as they fill our yard with light, love and happiness.

As I type this, I’m halfway through the final edit of my book and will be releasing it through Kindle this week. This is so exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. I will post about it the moment it goes live on Amazon. VELVET is a labor of love, and I do hope that it will reach the right people and touch their lives as much as writing it has touched mine.

Spring has sprung throughout the state of Georgia. The trees and flowers are blossoming and the air is filled with promise  This is a time of transformation, of rebirth, and it’s a joy to be able to experience this with the turning of the wheel of the year.

I hope that no matter where you are, your life is treating you well and that you are feeling the stirrings of rebirth as the plants and animals and weather wake up and welcome the returning warmth. All hail the glorious return of spring!
