With all of the great sleep I’ve been getting these past few months, I’ve had multiple dreams of snakes.
Snakes in the house. Snakes in the yard. Snakes everywhere.
While I’m not one to be afraid of snakes, the thought of sneaking up on one unawares gives me the heebie-jeebies.
It’s been said that snake dreams represent the sexual urge within us all, that if we dream of snakes, we are tuning into our sexual nature. It also represents transformation and the intuition. The last snake dream of mine was of multiple snakes slithering all over the house, in every room.
Needless to say, I was a bit unsettled when I woke up that morning. I felt that I was surrounded by…something. Just what that something was, I wasn’t sure.
When I looked up the meaning of this, everything I found pointed to an abundance of energy in my body. Hey, that’s pretty cool, actually. I could sense something around me, but snakes as a representation? Why not a dream about airplanes or race cars or Tesla coils…something that is a bit less spooky to represent energy?
I guess my mind would rather fill itself with images of serpents.
Do you often dream of snakes? If so, how do you feel in the morning after waking up from a snake dream? The next time I dream of the slinking creatures I’ll attempt to go lucid and turn the snakes into Ferraris.
Now that is a dream I can sink my teeth into.
